The Modular Music Box
An audiovisual instrument for exploring harmony and geometry.
A Playground for Sound and Sight
The Modular Music Box is an audiovisual instrument for exploring harmony and geometry. Generate notes from a library of scales, or build harmonies by stacking musical intervals in cells or in a series. For the inquisitive, an advanced interval and chord ID system called the "Identifier" analyzes the harmony in real-time to tell you exactly what sounds you're creating. With visual controls for glow, trails, and color, The Modular Music Box is a playground for both musical and aesthetic discovery into the complex patterns that emerge from simple music rules.
